The Area Surrounding Sea Shaw

Sea Shaw is spoilt by the wealth of history and natural beauty in the surrounding area. There is an abundance of superb blue flag beaches minutes walk from the accommodation. Kingsbarns and Elie beaches are our favourites, with literally miles of golden sand stretching into the distance. The gentle rolling hills, fields and coastline provide endless inspiration to artists and craftspeople resulting in the many festivals and fayres on show throughout the year.

The East Neuk has some of the most picturesque fishing villages in Scotland and should be explored at the earliest opportunity. Around St.Monans, there are several villages boasting whitewashed cottages with red pan tiled roofs crowding into small winding streets which meander down to ancient, secluded harbours. In these villages you will find some of the best seafood restaurants, friendly pubs, wealth of excellent bistros, craft shops and art galleries on the East Coast.

Sea Shaw is located in the very heart of Fifeís East Neuk (Neuk being old Scots for corner) and the perfect base in which to explore all the attractions and activities this area has to offer. Sea-Shaw is approximately 20 minutes drive from St Andrews and less than an hour from Scotlandís capital. There are excellent public transport services nearby providing excellent and hassle free road, rail and bus links to two of Scotlandís international airports at Glasgow and Edinburgh.
